WHAT MY RUNNERS SAY

— Aneesa
Mubarak’s coaching plans have honestly made such a positive difference for me. They were clear, motivating, and tailored exactly to my needs. I felt supported every step of the way and saw real progress, not just in achieving my goals but also in building confidence and consistency. I’d definitely recommend his coaching to anyone who wants results and genuine support along the way.

— Zawar
Quack coached me to a sub-3:45 PB at Seville Marathon 2024, and his support has ALWAYS been nothing short of outstanding.
He’s always been extremely kind, encouraging, and goes above and beyond with training, race-day guidance, or simply with his presence and support during Muslim Runners social meet-ups.
His responsiveness and ability to truly listen makes him a true role model in EVERY way.

I never imagined I’d become a runner—until I met Mubs.”
I first met Mubs through work in 2017. At the time, I was 48, overweight, and running seemed impossible. But Mubs' passion and energy were infectious. After six months of encouragement, I finally tried my first Couch to 5K session. It was tough—but Mubs was there, supporting me every step of the way.
Over the next 9 weeks, he offered guidance, motivation, and genuine care. That first 5K turned into 10Ks, half marathons, and eventually three full marathons—all with Mubs by my side, offering training advice, fueling tips, and a steady presence before and after every big race.
He’s more than a coach—he’s a motivator, a listener, and someone who truly believes in the potential of others. Thanks to Mubs, I’ve achieved things I never thought possible.

What can I say about this coach, nothing but supportive and extremely understanding.
I met Quack few years ago and from all his accomplishments, I knew then who better to coach and mentor me.
Not just does he tailor plans to individuals needs, but he is always there to explain the works out and even assists on sessions
My accomplishments under coach quack sub 3.30 at London 1st marathon and sub 3.15 at Seville 2nd marathon
Knowledge is and quack has plenty of this and is always happy to share to see others achieve and strive to do better.

Quack was absolutely amazing helping me plan for my first marathon. He met up with me beforehand to look at the training I was already doing to make sure that a marathon was a realistic goal, and then developed a bespoke 18 week training programme for me which took into account my work days and commitments to make a training plan that worked for me. Throughout the training programme he was constantly encouraging and giving advice, giving up his time to do so. He was such a big support, and at times i think he believed in me more than i did in myself, because he knew from experience with other runners that i would be able to do it. Crossing the finish line of my first ever marathon at Manchester this April was a lifelong dream fulfilled, and I couldnt have done it without Quacks' support. A local legend, genuinely lovely guy who just wants to help people achieve their goals. I'm going to start training for London Marathon 2026 soon and now i know i can do it, because ive already done it! Thanks quack!

Mubarak is a true pillar of the running community, not only in Leicester but well beyond. His unwavering dedication to the sport is nothing short of inspirational. What sets him apart is not just his athletic excellence, but his humility and generosity of spirit. Despite his own impressive achievements, Mubarak always finds time to guide, encourage, and support others in their running journeys.
Personally, I’ve grown tremendously under his mentorship and friendship - entering races I once thought were out of reach. His belief in me has helped me find belief in myself. The running world is better with Mubarak in it.

I am just a regular guy middle aged guy who started running to get fit. Over the years I have set myself targets over various race distances and Quack has been my go to guy for help and advice. What I appreciate most is how he always takes the time to listen and understand my concerns, tailoring his advice and providing structured training guidance to suit my individual needs. He set me some challenging targets that I always doubted I could actually achieve, however, with his help, encouragement and guidance I managed to achieve them all.

I have had the pleasure of working with Quack over the past year and have seen tremendous improvements in my running ever since. I first approached Quack before my first half-marathon in February 2025, where the longest I had run up to that point was 10K. Since then, I have been able to continue my development with Quack, having completed the Amsterdam marathon in October 2025. Both of which were possible due to the advice and guidance Quack was able to offer. The plan which was provided took into account my personal needs and Quack was always on hand to give advice, whether it was because morale was low or amendments needed to be made to the training. I am truly grateful for the support he has given me and I would recommend him to anyone looking to take the next step in their running journey.

Having gotten to know Quack on a personal basis, he has completely transformed my approach to running. I used to think I had to push harder every day to improve, but his amazing advice has helped me build confidence in listening to my body, training smarter, and to trust the process. I have since gone from strength to strength with my running journey with quacks help and guidance and he is ever available to provide the help and advice needed at all times. I cannot recommend Quadk enough if you’re looking for someone who will meet you where you are, keep you accountable, and help you reach your potential with compassion and expertise.

When it comes to running, I’ve always trusted Mubarak, or as we know him, “Quack,” for his knowledge and guidance. Over the past 8 years, I’ve leaned on his expertise countless times. In April, I completed a 16-week tailor-made plan, which helped me achieve a personal best time at the London Marathon 2025.

My first intro to Mubarak Sheikh was a couple of years ago when I reached out about a meetup and my first parkrun – since then, he has been a constant source of inspiration, advice, and support. He also played a key role in helping me through the plan and training for my first marathon, and that support has stayed with me as I've gone on to reach even more goals. He's encouragement, approachability, and consistency have made a real difference in how i approach my training and I'm genuinely grateful

I can't thank Mubarak (my coach) enough for everything he's done for me. Not just as a runner, but as a person. He’s been there for me every step of the way, supporting my journey from being a casual gym-goer to a 5K parkrun runner, and now a multi-marathon finisher. He’s always pushed me to achieve the results and times I set my sights on, no matter how ambitious they seemed. His guidance goes far beyond training plans and pace charts.... it’s the personal connection and genuine friendship that truly set him apart.
It’s not just about running; it’s about having someone who believes in you, challenges you, and stands by you through every high and low. I’m incredibly grateful to have a coach who is not only dedicated to my progress on the road, but also cares deeply about my growth and well-being off it.
